Ontario's West Coast , Huron County | Looking for ideas on what tools get used for cleaning small twigs and such from your lawn . I know some say they just chop the twigs up with the lawn mower before they put new blades on for the year .
I have a light set of chain harrows that I go over the lawn with but they do not seem to do much . My lawn is fairly rough too . I do roll it but think I need to get a little more aggressive or maybe spread some top soil on it to fill some bad spots . I still think there are some hoof prints from back when cattle were raised here . Seems they always went to the front lawn when it was wet . The last time I had a herd of cattle on the lawn ( 20 or so 600 lb Holstein veal calves ) the guy who owned them from 2 miles away said he would fix the lawn . Well you can guess how that went . All talk but no show .
What do you guys use to clean up your lawn in the spring ?
What is your lawn care regiment for the year ?
Also do any of you de-thatch your lawn and what tool do you use ?
TIA |
