| ricb - 3/8/2016 20:52 Hydraulics are in no way comparable to a 4440 or any other jd of that time. On paper they may be similar but that is where it stops. They are a big heavy tractor. Cab is not very good for a big guy. They are pretty thirsty but a stong tractor. Parts are getting expensive if it is 4wd. Spend the day in there and your ears will ring. If you get it cheap enough it will probably be a good purchase.
If the hyd pump on the 2-155 is in good condition the hyd's are very comparable to a 4440/4450 and yes I've used both.
If the hyd pump is shot then it is bad but I don't know of any tractors that have good hyd capacity if the pump is shot.
The cab space is also very comparable to a JD cab of the same era, I'd say the White has a little more leg room and the door is bigger.
The Gray stripe cabs are definitely louder than a Sound Gard cab but the later Series III cabs if in good condition are quieter than the Sound Gard's.
All in all, they are a good tractor for the $'s.
