| Plenty of good solutions on here for the problematic bearings/seals, so i wanted to share my idea of drilling the wheels and adding a grease zerk. I tilted the drill press table and bolted on a harbor freight 2-way vice. Taking a spare wheel the new bearings were removed and an old bearing was installed. By positioning the drill bit against the old bearing to keep it from"walking" an 1/8" pilot hole was drilled from the inside with a 1/8" x 6" bit. The old bearing was removed and the hole was enlarged with a #3 drill bit, then threaded using a 1/4-28 tap. Rubber seals were removed and the new bearings/snap ring reinstalled. With the placement of the grease channel between the bearings i am able to lube them simultaneously(red grease in pic) and force grease to the triple-lip seal as well. If the entire cavity is full of grease, less dirt will be able to enter. The bearings are 6203 2RS VERY common item at dealer, auto parts store or internet. The triple-lip seals($1.60 each) i'm using are from All States Ag Parts, Desoto,Ia.
