| This forecast seems to be giving credence to the chart of lake ice that has been posted here. It is not the highs and lows in ice coverage that is important. The speed of change from high to low is what shows strong correlation. What would be interesting to know, is how long the above normal temps last in these situations. SW Florida had an extremely wet, to record wet period in early winter this year.
