Subject: welder wire feed problems?

NC Iowa
i have a thermal arc fabricator 210 mig welder. only run a few spools of wire through it so it should not have too much wear. lately the feed rolls do not kick in right away when i push the trigger. i hear the solenoid click, but there is a delay of 5-10 seconds before the with moves. i thought at first that the wire was binding, but i completed loosened the wire tension and the feed roll don't turn. once it starts feeding wire, it feeds fine and welds good. i would think maybe the solenoid contacts are bad, but it has not hardly been used enough for that to happen. maybe have to tear into it, but thought i would see if there are any suggestions here first.
