WC. MN. | Bought a new 1/2 ton Silverado in Oct. Didn't even notice that it wasn't a flex fuel engine. Filled it with E85 first tank and wasn't long till check engine light came on. Took it to dealer (to dumb to figure out it didn't have a yellow gas cap), hooked it up to computer-said it was running too lean. Tried to siphon out the gas--can't get hose down into tank. Run it down to 1/4 tank, put in reg. gas, engine light came off. Been running reg. gas since with no problems and with the price of E85 makes no difference with the mileage hit. | |
