Subject: Crop Insurance, Price Flex

N.W. Ohio
Hello all, Just looking for thoughts here on this Cloudy Sat morning. With the dismal price performance in Feb, I am considering purchasing the Price Flex option to my crop insurance with the hope that can get a better spring price set. Agent sent me quotes, Soybeans range from $4.10/ac to $5.33/ac. Corn runs from $7.69 to$10.40/ac. He pretty much quoted all the way from Mar 1st thru July 31st. I am thinking I don't need Mar at all... my thoughts are to buy LH May, (in case of Plant delays) LH June, Not sure yet... maybe all July (with the drought prediction) By cutting the timeframe back, prem should be somewhat lower, or if I buy this option, should I just go shotgun route and buy all the way Mar thru Aug? he didn't quote Aug, but I assume it is avail. Need to have a phone conversation. Any one else buying this option? Thanks in advance for any replies.
