In 1972 my dad was pricing a new 4020. He could have gotten it for $8700. In today's money that would be $49300. They don't even make a tractor for U.S. farmers plain jane enough to compare to it, but if they did you could probably buy 2 for that price. Mainly because no one else would buy it.
