Ontario's middle east
The reality is there are no always in marketing. There are however some seasonal generalities that are worth noting. I have learned a lot from Roy and think the world of him but we have disagreed on the use of a "trigger date" for making sales. I approach it from the angle that says there is a high probability of seeing a rally in the May/June time frame, so know what you want and have some targets working with your buyer or on the board, during that timeframe. That takes the emotion out of making those decisions on a big up (insert here: flood, drought, locusts, pestilence) day. Holding past July 10th is not generally advised. Yep, it worked in 2012. It worked in some of the demand driven market years but it doesn't have the best track record in supply driven markets.
