| I tend to agree about genetics playing the major role. I've done tails both long and short and it really depends on the ram frankly. Now if the ram is prone to prolaspes short tails may reveal the problem more often. But I'd rather have a prolaspe in a feeder lamb verses a replacement ewe lamb that I've got a lot of feed invested in.
Personally I've done the long tail thing and hate brood ewes with long tails. Short tails only going forward on this farm. | |
