We loaned china money decades ago but they decided since that was a different government that they do not owe us this money.
I would tell the Chinese, well ok then since this is a new administration this is a different government and we do not owe you anything,

if there is a "reset" , the above will be a part of it.  But only so far as our military can defend it.
