Rivers, MB | Corn is sure making waves in MB. Record MB average last year. Think 129. A lot of it harvested early and on the dryer side of "normal". That's all considered fringe acres to you guys south of the 49th. Not enough acres to really make waves to those of you in the US but does maybe resume what is considered fringe.
$ exchange really helping out. $5.25 old crop price right now. $5 cash new crop price.
120 bu corn at $5 vs 50-60 bu wheat at $6.50.
Those south of the Trans Canada that can and have grown corn are staying with the program from my understanding.
