For instance, they assume that soybean acres will decline due to poor prices and those acres will go into corn. They assume that ethanol production will decline with gasoline consumption (due to better mpg?) but make no allowance for increased exports(??). Somehow they assume that lower fertilizer prices (??) will compensate for lower corn prices and maintain corn production.
