Kingston,Mi
They surrendered their grain license in 2014, leased Imaly City and Capac to the Pigeon Coop and the Jostock Bros. of Lapeer bought the Lapeer facility. Palms and Jeddo were empty and the newest site I believe reverted to the landowner. This info was gleaned from a web search for Lapeer Grain and was in reports from the Michigan Farm Bureau paper and The Port Huron Times Herald.

The old Harper Elevator (most recently Family and Farm Supply) in Hemans has been sold and someone reroofed the main building to keep the raccoons and pigeons out. That site is too small for a million bushel bin as it has a I.T.C. power line right-of-way within feet of the building to the north (old railroad bed), houses to the south and probably totals about 2.5 to 5 acres total.

I live 8 miles from Hemans (Decker Post office is located across from the elevator) and haven't heard any rumors, but Jostocks have a pulling tractor and compete in the same class as Boerson, so we may be off on another snipe hunt.
