Pittsburg, Kansas | I don't suppose anyone thinks of it in the terms I do, but my take is if it is causing earthquakes they better do some more. Earth quakes as far as I know are caused by built up tension along fault lines. Is it better to have multiple 3's or wait another ten years and have one huge 9?
Seems to me relieving the tension with a series of small quakes would be doing residents a favor.
I doubt if it is causing the quakes anyway.
I do know from a friend that is involved in national disaster planning that plans are being prepared for a New Madrid quake.
But what do I know?
