Not only that if the economy collapses food waste will drop to zero and that will also reduce demand. China no longer has 3.75 trillion in foreign reserves either. That is an official figure which coming from China means nothing. China will likely burn through whatever foreign reserves it does have in the next five years propping up its economy. Then they can find out what farmland in Madagascar is really worth.
