There is a button on the monitor in the cab, simply turn on/off from cab. It is programed not to start cutting until the core is formed and then also it retracts near the end of bale formation so the bale doesn`t fall apart after its tied/wrapped.
It is just a set of knives that insert and retract by an electric actuator.
