| It's really irrelevant, plenty of time to market 2015 grain yet. If you need money sell grain or put it under loan, put it on a basis contract, whatever. There has been ample time with plenty of super basis levels over the last 3 months to lock things up. Over most of the cornbelt, I know there are areas where basis has and still does suck. I guess I don't see what good this is going to do unless you are in the misery loves company phase or you are going to tell us how smart you are and had it hedged from 2010 and miraculously sold it all for $6 plus and beans for $15. It is what it is, not the first time grain prices have been low. It could be worse, you could be a banker or selling equipment. | |
