North Dakota | My view, which is worth about as much as a piece of used toilet paper, is that the market is setting up for another bull run. Not 2008 style, but enough to garner a profit making scenario. Problem is it won't happen late winter or spring. All indicators are pointing to lower yields across the board. Change from El Nino to La Nina. Areas that are considerably drier than last year and the areas along the Miss that are considerably wetter and will see delayed planting. Acres shift to crops that require less inputs in fringe areas(peas, lentils, flax, sunflowers, etc). Not saying it is going to happen, but if the market recognizes the production side it will. I just have that feeling that this year things will not fall into place for a good production year across the board on the major crops(corn, beans & wheat).
