It's about time. The boom started early 2000's.. Accelerated with Eagle Ford Shale starting in 2009. Competing for labor, machine shop work,anything at all became terrible. Oilfield can pay any amount during a boom. Property tax appraisals skyrocket, I don't benefit at all from the boom, in fact, it hurts our profitability. Truck driver making $110k in oilfield---doesn't want to make $50k hauling grain. Good riddance to the boom.
