Here is what I know now.  My dealer tried to add more lines this week and Verizon has stopped adding new lines.  All existing lines and contracts will continue to be served as contracted.  Since the dealer owns the line and you are renting it if lines are released the dealer should be able to lease them again.  So the only option now appears to be if you can find a dealer that has open lines.  I don't want to post my dealer on line.  Email below works.
