Besides elevation & storage charges local bid for soybeans in store at elevator is 30 cents less than the FOB farm bid. I guess wasn't its in somebody elses system they can use what ever basis they like. I expect if you wanted to truck to a end user yourself there would be a 30 cent charge some place . Elevators need too make some money but between storage and basis you could pay for a bin in 3 yrs.
