Is it possible to drill a well in your area? Assuming your black soil doesn't have much sand in it, 200 to 300 gpm would be sufficient to irrigate corn on 40 acres.

If a well is possible, you might be able to put in a single phase pump and single phase pivot or at least power it with a roto-phase.
