Subject: WE debate RFA and RFS2 battle frequently

Adams, NE
in our office and at the meetings. Ultimately its fear of the unknown for most. We have something, why should ethanol give it up? Oil tax breaks are still there after 100+ years and trillions earned in profits. you fight the battle, just like on the farm. Next time I am up North, we will debate over beers/morgan and cokes.

I have seen margins great when ethanol is at a premium to rbob (actually record margins in late march 14, early april 14). I have seen margins horrible when at a discount to ethanol (june 2009). its the supply/demand of ETHANOL that dictates margins, not spread to rbob.

Gasoline blends are very complex. It may appear uneconomical to add one thing, but the cost of what needs to come in to replace is really, really high. It makes today's feed rations look like kindergarten math.
