Think the $ is headed up the belt to the shredder yet or is it still too early yet ?

For those wondering about this I use to say the dollar was the prettiest girl in the leper colony but some thought that was being sexist although that was never the intent. So I revised the comparison to a shiny car in the junkyard. That analogy is below.

I still think the US dollar is the sharpest looking car in the junkyard.

However, Just because a vehicle is all shiny sitting in the junkyard  does not make it any better than all the rest. It is still only a shell full of filler and bondo to give the illusion of a perfect shiny appearance, but the pistons and crank are scored , the motor is seized up and blown and the transmission is thrashed but it sure looks nicer than all the rest on the way up the conveyor belt to the shredder.

Von you can use this one to describe the dollar, "the top kernel of corn in the pile of crap known a world currencies."
