Hi RF1 Thanks for Your reply. Good to hear of Your interest in charting. I hope I've been of some help in exposing the charts. Chart patterns are popular among chartists - I think as they are the the easiest to see on the charts. I like to use Apexes and Rectangle Trading ranges Myself. But more important - imho - is Price action - and learning how Px acts and reacts at important areas - areas of Support and Resist - or on breakouts and false breakoutsl There are several methods analyists use charts. Mr Engina is a good example of a complete different method - and I know nothing about His method - I suspect tho - it has to do a lot on how Px acts at important areas. JPartner has shared a lot of His method of charting using Andrews lines. He himself states lines are cool but Px action rules There are several others here that are experts on charts - and are sharing their expertise at times. I hope to see more of Their sharing down the road. I've found that the more time you spend studying Px action on the charts - You find that You get a "feel" of whats happening - and thats what makes it work. If you have an outstanding memory and can keep all that stuff in your head, You might not need charts No matter what, it takes time and study. Good Luck
