SESD | My guess is that while that looks crappy and is poor quality of workmanship, it probably won't cause a problem. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the board the guide is attached to is attached at the front and back of the cabinet, which would be enough probably. That said, I would have a very hard time putting up with something "custom" that was worse than I could buy at Menards.
Maybe take a day or half a day and go to some stores and look at how they actually mount/install/make this area of cabinets. That will help you get an idea of what is good or not, common or not, premium or not. You can decide from there. Personally, that wouldn't cut it for me on new custom construction. | |
