Subject: RE: honey bees

Faunsdale, AL
Alabama bee keepers association and Extension service are putting on a 1 day seminar at Clanton, AL next Saturday Feb 6, 2016. My daughter and I are planning to attend.

We used to have commercial bee keepers' hives scattered around this area, but some of the new diseases and parasites of the bees along with the fact that the brothers that owned the business got old and died, ended all that 20-30 years ago. Now its rare to see a swarm. There are some hobby bee keepers with a few hives around and I hope to be one soon.
