Subject: RE: Weed Control In Milo

I've been applying atrazine and half rate of Dual with Roundup a month to 6 weeks proir to planting then another application of Roundup and half rate of Dual just prior to planting. Kind of spreading out my risk of incorporation and trying to keep the ground cleaner up to planting by applying some chemical early but also wanting to extend control by applying some late. This has worked pretty good but not perfect. Worst part is..IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE!
I'm thinking about 1 lb. or so of atrazine early, Roundup if there is any escapes at planting, and Peak postemerge. I have used Peak a few times to clean up broadleaves and have had good success without stressing the milo. Don't know if the atrazine will give good enough grass control or not.
What do you think?
