You know, who's big? There are guys here with 5-10,000 acres and bigger than that. How many contracts of grain do they deal with? A trader in Chicago with a million dollar trading account would AT most risk maybe 6% of his account on a trade... That's still too much
That's 60,000 risk on a 10 cent stop or 120 contracts
A corn farmer with 3000 acres of corn at 200 bu/ac deals with 120 contracts of corn as well...
I'm sure there are a lot of "bigger" forces that read here but they might be better at growing a crop and managing a business than "trading"
It would be interesting to see who all reads here. It would probably shut me up here for good as I would not consider my thoughts worth reading. | |
