I never answered the second part of your question. Back in the 90s and early 2000s when the volatility was minimal, it was fairly common occurrence to see March go off the board, then watch May come down and trade at the March level and so on, because that's where the cash markets were trading. I suspect we are transitioning back towards that.FWIW
