Mine are 3' the shorter the better as it drains when turning, I've thought of another small inline check valve but I'm afraid of 2x the plugging problems.
I mounted them in the row unit right behind the parallel arms going to keetons currently.
If you ever do decide to give this a try send me an email as I would have few tips and such. I have few parts if you want as well but they are all used.
