That is a big reason I prefer DAP, less acidic.

Another thing is Map (11-52-0) vs Dap (18-46-0) I feel is better in terms of value. Map has about 13% more phosphorus in it. Price locally is almost always the same. Local salesman argue you are getting more N, but at the cost per ton the N is expensive and does not make up the 13% difference in potency.

Maybe I look at it wrong, but that is my thinking. Less acidic and better value.......
