| In the L position the draft sensing ability is at its greatest and will try to maintain a constant engine loading. The D position will make the lift arms the most responsive to the control lever setting and will maintain that position regardless of draft load. The LD position is a kind of blending of response and depth. Cultivate, blade, plant, post hole digger and bushog in D. Normally moldboard in LD. Subsoil, ripper and chisel plow in L or sometimes LD. Should ALWAYS be in D position for drawbar use. Requires the internal and external linkage to be properly set for good response. |
