Nunn CO | Hello all,
I have always been tempted by a Aerway and our local farm show is coming up. Generally Aerway has a booth there and I want to go in with solid questions. I under stand that this tool sinks into the ground 6-9 inches and breaks apart hard pans. What I'm wondering is does this tool create a compaction layer below the 6-9 inch mark? I see all these used ones for sale and they all have HUGE concrete weights added.... that weight can only be going into the ground. Same principle with VT tools like the GP turbo max, a lot of weight stacks in the frame. Thoughts?
Also for those who using a Aerway my thought was, I'm running sweeps though the field a good handful of times every year during fallow. Running a Aerway just before seeding and breaking that pan apart would be nice. Does it leave a smooth enough finish? or is this just a good idea in theory.
Thanks, | |
