Subject: RE: Alternator bosch question

Faunsdale, AL
Yes, there are Delco 10SI alternators with a tachometer drive terminal just in front of the standard 2 wire regulator plug. I had a Bosch alternator on a Case1845c uniloader . It quit charging and I replaced the regulator/brush holder which is easy to do even with the alternator still installed on the skidsteer. Seems like it was just a couple of screws to take out and it tilts right out. Didn't keep charging long afterwards, so I swapped it for a Delco i had on hand. No tach on the 1845c though.

If the Bosch charges without the signal wire connected, fine.....but I doubt it will.
