Dublin, VA | Newbie to 3 phase systems here so i got a question. New dairy barn has 208v 3 phase power running belt drive circulating fans for warm weather. I have 3 fans with 1.5hp motors per circuit, with 8 circuits, 24 fans total. The problem is now matter how tight the auto tensioner is set they still want to slip on start up and belt life is pretty short. Can you use a soft start with multiple motors on one circuit?
Pretty time consuming to service the belts so I was thinking this might help service life, they do cycle some as they are hooked to an environment controller. TIA | |
