We have had 4 Corn Husker trailers with aluminum subframes and a Merrit with a steel subframe they have been used on treated roads and a lot of miles. I prefer the aluminum subframes because of the corrosion issues on a steel one, we have not had any breakage issue and one of them went over a million miles before being sold.
