I retro-fitted my planter with 4000 series meters last year. Mine are mechanical drive. I mixed different sizes and rounds and flats and the stand I got was perfect. Corn is a smaller crop for me, but once set as the book says I didn't mess with adjusting the simulator anymore. The knockout wheel is a great addition and while planting milo I had to keep a few extras of those on hand as dust/dirt would occasionally lock one up and shear the pokers off. I was especially impressed with the meters ability to singulate milo. These meters were perfect no matter how fast I went, 8 mph was the fastest just to see.
The edgevac meters were terrible for milo. These 4000 series meters were the best thing I have done to my planter. Know of anybody that wants some edgevac meters?
