For the last 20 years or so I've been using John Deere 308 Lubricating Soap for liner installation. Makes assembly a breeze, and insures o-rings will seat with the least amount of stress in the bore. Since using this soap, I have had zero problems with liner o-rings. JD part # AR 54749
