Buffalo IL | Just because the gov't gets a lot of pats on its back for conservation work is why we have a CRP and CREP program. It distorts land values and land usage. The crop insurance program went further in distorting land values and land usage. IMO Crop insurance converted lots of poor quality ground into crops. But the real culprit is greed overshadowing stewardship of the land.
