Full rate of Surestart was intended to be the 1st part of a 2-pass program.  Some guys are finding that full rate of Surestart works fine.  But, my concern is that if you start with a half rate of Surestart, you are just asking for weeds to break thru early. 

Unless, you are going to start with half rate of Surestart, and then come back with the 2nd half in your post program..... along with a post-product to take out any weeds already breaking thru.
