Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80 | Well, I did a google search and on a Zerostart .pdf file; it mentions a special block heater, for 1998 CAT 3406E engine (due to unique 1998 engine design) page 36 on .pdf pages { note: Your truck might be 1999 model, but the engine might be 1998 emission model} Maybe, you just need that special block heater (???) {It mentions that both standard and special one use 1" NPT, BUT they aren't interchangeable !!!} https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=zerostart+2014+catalog
