NC SD | Working with an older fellow whom I am renting his ground from. He is thinking about putting his ground in crp. Would this get taxed different than his rent check? We have been told both ways. He farmed years ago but recently has been a w2 wage earner. Wondering if I could use this as an agreement for me to continue to rent it if I could come close to matching his crp check. How about his cost share for the seed and his one time $100/acre bonus for getting it established, as far as how they are taxed? Thanks for any insight. | |
