| My tenant did 207 on 165 units of N last year split application. In 2007 I did 173.2 with 111 pounds of N. 100 pounds of MAP spread, 60 pounds of N as 32$ with the planter, and dribbled 40 pounds of N from 32% when the corn was 4 feet tall. I had high organic matter and selected the corn number carefully to be efficient at the use of N. That was no till. My tenant is strip till, it took him 3 years corn on corn to beat my 2007 yield.
