NE Iowa | If you are working the UAN in with tillage right after applying then Agrotain is not needed. The chemical in Agrotain protects the N from volatilization (gassing off) when surface applied and not incorporated. Agrotain Plus has two chemicals, one for volatilization and one for slowing down the conversion of N to the nitrate form. In my opinion, the best product for you because you incorporate would be Instinct II. Same chemical as N-Serve but made for UAN. It protects the N from leaching and costs around $9 per acre. | |
