USA | There is a lot of fat in the seed selling business that needs trimmed. My guess could easily trim $40-$50 off the price of a bag of seed corn. By eliminating Dealers and the seed peddlers that are employed by the company, on the marketing side of things.
If a seed company can't be profitable selling $100 bag NGMO seed corn, plus whatever the tech fee is for GMO on top of the $100. They have too much fat in their COP.
