Clay county, MN | There is a handful of guys around here (myself included) that have been trying to get an in with very limited success. I thought I had a guy, get along very well with him. Knew it would have to be competitive on rent, but thought maybe there was a chance. He retired and rented out to a 60 year old guy who is also his friend. At the end of the day I think the biggest factor in renting out land is financial security. Though it can bring satisfaction to watch a young guy get started, its a lot less risky to rent to a bigger, established operator, than a young guy that could go broke in a year. Where are you located? I can relocate;-)
