Ec Indiana | We use Davis weather stations, have a few of them scattered around the area we farm. Or you can put a free app on your phone called weatherlink and you can monitor any station on the system in the US for free. Some of the stations are the ones used for weatherbug.
If you put up a Davis station then you can monitor it through this app, or put the software on your computer and it logs it all by the minute
Here is a screen shot, it monitors daily monthly and yearly, and keeps track of storm totals.
Depending on your area there may already be a lot of stations you can use, I've got about 10 but only own three of them. very nice system, and it's free.
