If your ration really consists of stockpiled grass, typical grass hay and cracked corn, I don't care what the manure looks like, you will get more milk if you add some protein source to the cracked corn. I also believe strongly in fine grinding corn for dairy cows. Always ground high moisture into chicken feed. New nutritionist couldn't ever believe that i wasted that much fuel and time but then changed his tune and suggested that others grind finer!! They milked great off it! And yes needs protein source badly! |
